Finals week is finally over and I get a bit of a break from coursework. I believe a warm Summer break will be very therapeutic for my soul. To make up for all the ways I have been neglecting myself over the past couple [very stressful] months, I went to Sephora and Walgreens to add to my makeup collection :)
I am so happy with my purchases, I feel renewed!
My Urban Decay Naked palette is something I've been wanting forever, but haven't got around to buying. I am so happy I finally snagged it from Sephora!
I love to use "Sin" and "Virgin" in every application, but completely mix it up with any other color and blend. I'm sure most already have a Naked palette so I don't have to go into too much detail about why it's so great. My favorite part is the quality (obviously)! The shimmery nude colors apply and blend so beautifully. I don't have any high end eyeshadow brushes so I stick with the one provided by Urban Decay and it has worked nicely so far.
My new Rimmel London Kate Moss 107 lippy is definitely my favorite in my handbag at the moment! It's a beautiful bright red lipstick that looks great with a cat-eye and a dark outfit. I have to make sure my lips are well moisturized and exfoliated though because the bright color will emphasize dry spots on your lips. The color will stay on all day, but easily rubs off onto your hands or other parts of your lips while eating or drinking so be sure to keep reapplying and checking to make sure you aren't lookin a hott mess with red lippy smeared to your chin!
My new Sephora brush is labeled as a "multitasker" and I use it for bronzer at the moment. It's sooo soft and just the right amount of fluffy for my bronzer. It's small enough that I'm not applying too much and I'm able to target the right areas on my face for contouring.
My last purchase was some Argan Oil for my dry skin. I just apply three drops to my hand and pat (NOT rub) it in and it really helps moisturize my skin. This has turned out to be quite a miracle product for my dry patches. I still pair it with my typical moisturizer if I'm going to apply any sort of make up over the top of it. I can tell that it has dramatically increased the health and hydration of my skin in just one weeks use.
One last exciting thing I did today was sign up for my ipsy glam bag subscription! If you haven't heard of it, you should definitely check it out at: ipsy.com!
