July Glam Bag

My first Ipsy Glam Bag has arrived! I have been tortured with anticipation since I signed up for my subscription back in June and my first Glam Bag has finally arrived :)
If you've never heard of Ipsy or any beauty subscription like it, please let me tell you about this little piece of magic I have recently welcomed into my life...When you subscribe to an Ipsy Glam Bag you take a personalized beauty quiz so that Ipsy knows you, your style, look, and desires a little better. Then, Ipsy will send you a Glam Bag once a month (just $10!!) with 4-5 beauty products that Ipsy thinks you might like, based on your beauty quiz! With every product that I received in my bag, I got a coupon for my next purchase, so nice! Michelle Phan curates the bags herself and a lovely community of "Ipsters" has been formed.
If you're interested in signing up, feel free to click here and it only takes a few minutes!
Make sure to take the extra steps to skip the wait list. My bestie was on the waitlist for months until she realized she could skip by basically just sharing it on her FaceBook, so easy! I was immediately subscribed because I skipped the wait :)
So anyways, here is my first Glam Bag from Ipsy for July:

I haven't used lip or cheek stains much prior to this little goodie. It's a beautiful "Cherry" color that really brightens my lips and is so light that it doesn't feel like I have anything on! Perfect for when I'm just running out for some errands. My favorite part of all is probably the yummy taste & smell and the adorable packaging!!
With this item I received a BOGOFree coupon for Elizabeth Mott, I'll definitely be using it soon.

I was, easily, the most excited about this guy. Please note that this is a full sized bronzer, not a sample size. How awesome is that? While the packaging is just too adorable on it's own, the product itself is to die for. The color pay off is great. It's such a beautiful glowing bronzed color with shimmer, but not too shimmery by any means. I will definitely 100% be buying this product again. I'll be sure to use my 25% off coupon courtesy of Ipsy as well

This product is moisturizing, but smells a lot like sunscreen, which I'm not a huge fan of unless I'm at the beach for a day or something. I used it on my face and I didn't get sunburnt so in that aspect it worked! If you are really into sunblock then maybe this is something to look into. I am not therefore I don't have a very good review for it. I have been putting it on in the morning because it's been soooo hot and sunny in Oregon this summer and it doesn't irritate my face. Big win there! I'll still be visiting the manufacturer website to see if there's anything else that I want to try since I have my 30% off coupon.

This is a daily body lotion that claims to prevent environmental oxidation. This is a sample bottle and I haven't been using it much so I can't review their claims. I love that it's organic and the citrus-ginger helps to balance digestion and increase positivity. I am all about that! I may just use my 50% off coupon to purchase a full size bottle.

Shame on me! When I first saw this little bugger I wrote it off and opted for the cool bronzer and lip stain. As you see, I didn't even bother getting a very good picture for it back when I took pictures after I unboxed! Seriously, Shame On ME! I have been using this product everyday since I unboxed my Glam Bag. It is my favorite of all! I have absolutely no clue what shade it is, but I want to buy every single shade that BareMinerals has to offer. This cream goes on so smooth and blends so nicely. The coverage is amazing. If you want it to be darker, just add more on. It looks so nice with my UD Naked palette as well. I can't stress enough how beautiful this BB Cream Shadow is, but I hope everyone goes to Ulta and tries it out!

So there is my first Glam Bag! I am very satisfied with all my products. I estimated based on size and price of the items that the Glam Bag values at over $50 and I got it for only $10! Thank you so much Ipsy!

Any one else have beauty subscriptions? I am so obsessed!
Hope you're all having a wonderful Monday

Summer Therapy

Finals week is finally over and I get a bit of a break from coursework. I believe a warm Summer break will be very therapeutic for my soul. To make up for all the ways I have been neglecting myself over the past couple [very stressful] months, I went to Sephora and Walgreens to add to my makeup collection :)

I am so happy with my purchases, I feel renewed!

My Urban Decay Naked palette is something I've been wanting forever, but haven't got around to buying. I am so happy I finally snagged it from Sephora!

I love to use "Sin" and "Virgin" in every application, but completely mix it up with any other color and blend. I'm sure most already have a Naked palette so I don't have to go into too much detail about why it's so great. My favorite part is the quality (obviously)! The shimmery nude colors apply and blend so beautifully. I don't have any high end eyeshadow brushes so I stick with the one provided by Urban Decay and it has worked nicely so far.

My new Rimmel London Kate Moss 107 lippy is definitely my favorite in my handbag at the moment! It's a beautiful bright red lipstick that looks great with a cat-eye and a dark outfit. I have to make sure my lips are well moisturized and exfoliated though because the bright color will emphasize dry spots on your lips. The color will stay on all day, but easily rubs off onto your hands or other parts of your lips while eating or drinking so be sure to keep reapplying and checking to make sure you aren't lookin a hott mess with red lippy smeared to your chin!

My new Sephora brush is labeled as a "multitasker" and I use it for bronzer at the moment. It's sooo soft and just the right amount of fluffy for my bronzer. It's small enough that I'm not applying too much and I'm able to target the right areas on my face for contouring.

My last purchase was some Argan Oil for my dry skin. I just apply three drops to my hand and pat (NOT rub) it in and it really helps moisturize my skin. This has turned out to be quite a miracle product for my dry patches. I still pair it with my typical moisturizer if I'm going to apply any sort of make up over the top of it. I can tell that it has dramatically increased the health and hydration of my skin in just one weeks use.

One last exciting thing I did today was sign up for my ipsy glam bag subscription! If you haven't heard of it, you should definitely check it out at: ipsy.com! Join me on ipsy and subscribe to the Glam Bag! You get 4-5 beauty products every month delivered to your door, for just $10. Michelle Phan curates the bags! I'll be doing some posts showing off and reviewing my glam bag items in July when I receive my first one so stay tuned <3
